8th Assam State Film Awards 2023 for 2018 and 2019 Announced: The Assam government has announced the winners of the Assam State Film Awards 2023 on 10 March 2023. The 8th Assam state film awards 2023 is for the year 2018 and 2019.
Bodo Films Bagged Awards in 8th Assam State Film Awards
Two Bodo films won the Assam State Film Awards in two different categories.
- Jwlwi – The Seed bodo film by Rajni Basumatary won the best film in other language in Assam category for 2019.
- Fwila Borgoyary won the Moazin Ali Award for Best performance in Comic role for his performance in the Onnai bodo film for 2018.

Bhaskar Hazarika was awarded the best Director for his film Aamis 2019, and Rima Das won the best director for her film Bulbul can sing 2018.
Best Actor Award 2019 and 2018
Benjamin Daimari was awarded the best actor for his film Jonaki Poruaa 2019, and Lima Das bagged the best actress award for her film Aamis 2019.
Utkal Hazowari was awarded the best actor for his film Suspended Inspector Bodo 2018, and Amrita Gogoi and Dr Jahanara Begum jointly won the best actress award for their performance in the Nijanor Gaan and Kaneen.
